LaTressa has served teens, young adults, and older adults from all walks of life. Her previous work consist of the field of developmental disabilities and the behavioral and mental health, which inspired her first book. Additionally, she spent several years in post-secondary education. 

Besides being an author, LaTressa is also the founder and director of Striving To Empower Many, Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing tools and knowledge to young people residing in underserved communities.

When LaTressa is not busy with work, she enjoys her faves from Starbucks, writing, beach trips, spending time with loved ones and friends, and moments of self-care.
